Please understand that we are not hypochondriacs, neither are we sulking in self-pity. Most people with chronic illness are amazingly strong warriors fighting with all that is in them against great and formidable challenges. They are heroes just for keeping on. They may scream or cry sometimes, and say they can't take it another day, but lo-and-behold, another day passes, and another. Like true warriors, they paint on a brave smile and keep on going another day.
To my dear Fibro Friends, you have my greatest admiration and respect. And to you faithful loved ones who stand their sides through the long days and darkest nights, Thank You. It is not an easy road, but with your company by our sides we can make it through.
And please, do not forget that there is always hope... People ARE recovering from this. Advances in research is shedding new light on this elusive illness. So never give up.
